I hope the entire TYC family remains healthy. Our community has met the doldrums of March, April & May imposed by the COVID-19 shelter-in-place and found alternative and safe ways to connect with other members and friends.
Many members chose to attend our weekly virtual discussions on a wide range of topics including travel, food, boat maintenance and the construction of Tall Ship Matthew Turner. Some have participated in a weekly online Mah Jongg game. Other members stayed connected to each other by renewing friendships. Supported by a shared love of boating we will continue to meet the challenges as we move forward.
With the arrival of June we are optimistic. The public health authorities of Marin have begun relaxing regulations that restrict our ability to race, meet or socialize. This month the TYC board will begin evaluating opportunities and asking your opinion with a survey about how we can gather in a safe and compliant manner. We look forward to being able to resume a schedule of social & racing activities. Further announcements will provide additional details.
As a community, Tiburon Yacht Club members should not hesitate to reach out to other members if they are in need of assistance during this shared community challenge. Your health is our number one priority.
