Express 27s line up for the start

Welcome to the 2007 Express 27 National Championships page. This page is your source for information both about the racing as well as the venue.

All races will take place off Paradise Cay on the east side of the Tiburon peninsula. We will use VHF channel 71 for all our racing communication.

The Regatta Chair is TYC Vice Commodore, Ian Matthew, who can be contacted at ian.matthew@comcast.net or by phone at (415) 883-6339

I think all who participated will agree that the racing was spectacular! In the very heavy winds of Friday, only one race was possible, and that claimed a broken boom, broken spinnaker pole as well as a broken mast. New Wave loaned her boom and spinnaker pole to those affected competitors thus allowing them to continue to race. Saturday saw 3 races, the long distance race being the second race of the day. Conditions were much better on the Saturday but the winds returned on Sunday once again giving spectacular racing. Only 2 races were completed making a total of 6 races for the series.

Congratulations go to Motorcycle Irene, skippered by Will Paxton - the 2007 Express 27 National Champions.
